The Heritage Collection

Amassed over 100 years the Collection contains a wealth of material.  It illustrates the story of Scouting from its earliest days as a concept developed from Lord Baden Powell’s bestseller ‘Scouting for Boys’.  The Collection documents the changes the movement has undergone and demonstrates the ways in which the Association has built on Lord Baden Powell’s original idea to stay as relevant and engaging for young people as it was back in 1908.  The Collection continues to grow through kind donations from people who would like mementoes of their Scouting adventures to be preserved.  To see some highlights from the collection visit our exhibition pages.
